My name is Andrew Morris, I am a local musician around Chapel Hill, and currently a guitar/keys/drum instructor at the school of rock in cary, nc and at the Chapel Hill School of Music and Arts. I`ve been teaching for over a decade, and I have a B.A in Music Performance from Northern Vermont University
I teach Jazz, Rock, Pop, Funk, Bluegrass and Classical, and Beginner to Advance students.
I like to get you playing your favorite songs, before we get really technical
For Kids I like to keep the child engaged and not rush through lessons, involving singing, clapping even if its a instrument lesson. I let the kids pick what music we play, and then I make a easy version of the song they can play. This gives me a good platform to teach lessons from.
For more the advance students I go over music theory, ear training, music notation, and song writing\ composition, even history. Ive prep kids to audition for their college audition at Berklee, Mason Gross, and more. So weather if you want to casually, play or get deeper it is up to you and I'll guide you the best I can.
